Preface

"Building a maritime power is a major strategic task to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation", "promoting the construction of land-based and deep and offshore aquaculture fisheries". In the No. 1 central document in 2023, it clearly requires "promoting high-quality development of fisheries", "actively promoting deep and offshore aquaculture, and building a number of large and intelligent deep and offshore aquaculture fisheries. This will drive the rapid development of fishing vessels, fishing machines, and fishing gear for deep and offshore fisheries. This has pointed out the direction for the development of facility fisheries in China, and also indicates that related industries will receive policy resource tilt, which is more conducive to the development of industrial construction.

In order to deeply implement the series of important national statements on the construction of a maritime power and better promote the high-quality development of fishing equipment represented by deep and distant sea aquaculture, the first national marine economic development zone of "Blue Granary" in Changdao, Shandong Province was approved by the Shandong Provincial Government on December 17, 2023. At the same time, in order to better promote the development prospects of Yantai's fishery and animal husbandry industry, the China Association of Fishing Boats, Fishing Machinery, and Fishing Gear Industry, as the first level association responsible for coordinating and promoting the development of the national fishery equipment industry, and in conjunction with the Clean Energy Vehicle and Vessel Branch of the China Association of Communications, held the "2024 China (Yantai) International Deep Sea Aquaculture and Marine Fisheries Equipment Development Conference" in the Yellow and Bohai New Area of Yantai from September 5 to 7, 2024. The conference invited national industry leaders China Classification Society, academicians and other relevant high-end experts and scholars, as well as representatives of key backbone enterprises in deep sea aquaculture and fishery equipment, focus on the national innovation development strategy and hot areas of fishery equipment, and focus on the collaborative innovation of industrial chain and supply chain, industry academia research cooperation, economic and trade docking, and achievement transformation of marine economic development hotspots. Purpose and significance

Shandong Province is a strong economic province in China and also one of the provinces with the longest coastline along the sea. Its coastline is 3200 kilometers long. Compared to Guangdong and Fujian provinces, Shandong Province is located in the central part of China's eastern line and is a strategic location. Therefore, Shandong Province is the most advantageous location for comprehensive analysis.
