Green assembly and urban-rural integration

The release of the 13th Five Year Plan aims to build an energy-saving, low-carbon, green ecological, intensive and efficient building energy consumption system, and promote supply side structural reform in the field of housing and urban-rural construction. The development of green buildings has expanded from urban areas to rural areas, and from individual buildings to urban blocks (communities) Expanding from planning, design, and construction to operational management, from energy-efficient and green buildings to prefabricated buildings and green building materials, and extending the concept of energy conservation and green development to the entire field, process, and industry chain of architecture.

As the only international building materials trade expo in China that provides comprehensive solutions for green buildings, the International Green Building Materials (Shanghai) Expo (ESBuild) has been deeply rooted in China's green building industry for 17 years. In order to implement the regulations, guidelines, and policies proposed in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on "accelerating the reform of the ecological civilization system and building a beautiful China", and to comply with the development trend of green, ecological, healthy, and comfortable building materials, ESBuild will integrate existing resources and redefine the exhibition concept of "creating new, safe, beautiful ecology, and providing comprehensive solutions for green buildings" in 2023. It will launch five major areas of interconnection and integration, covering building energy conservation Prefabricated buildings and components, interior and exterior wall systems, interior decoration, and comfort system sections will be exhibited, covering prefabricated building supply chain, prefabricated decoration technology, integrated insulation and decoration, integrated wall and wall systems, HVAC and fresh air equipment, and other related content.

This exhibition will have a total exhibition area of 70000 square meters, with 1000 exhibitors participating. It is expected that the number of professional visitors will exceed 50000. In 2024, ESBuild will elevate the focus on the current status and trends of green building development to the level of the whole society, consolidate policy cooperation, and improve development efficiency for the clear green development plan in the 13th Five Year Plan of the country.

Forum activities

The Shanghai International Green Building Materials Series Forum is divided into three hierarchical forms, including a theme development summit forum, an application forum, and a new product and technology launch event. Nearly 40 live events were held, with a total of more than 120 speakers giving speeches, attracting over 2000 listeners. In the theme development trend forum, the three theme forums focus on current industry hotspots such as building walls and walls, green building design and application in cultural and tourism real estate, and the integration of urbanization and prefabricated construction. In terms of application forums, we focus on hot application directions in industries such as foam ceramics, prefabricated wood structures, integrated insulation and decoration, building photovoltaics, integrated exterior walls, prefabricated decoration, and building acoustics. The technology exchange and promotion platform built by the organizers for participating enterprises, as well as nearly 20 new product and technology press conferences, have leveraged the gathering advantages of industry insiders to form a deep interaction between exhibitions and technology exchanges.

Previous Review

The 2023 Shanghai Green Building Expo, with the theme of "Green, Low Carbon, and Energy saving Transformation," has three major thematic sections: Building Energy Conservation, Prefabricated Buildings, and Interior Decoration. Nearly 500 domestic and foreign brand enterprises participated in the exhibition, with a display area of nearly 30000 square meters. The 3-day exhibition attracted more than 30000 professional visitors.
