It is an important platform for exchanges and cooperation between the publishing circles on both sides of the Strait and an important brand for industrial development Key municipal Taiwan exchange projects. The exhibition area of the first 15 sessions of the chart fair is 275000 square meters. There are 7199 cross-strait publishers (Times) participating in the fair, with a total of 1.8 million kinds of books and 10.38 million volumes. The book sales and purchase of 510 million yuan have been realized, and 3022 copyright trade and cooperation projects have been achieved. It has become an important platform for cross-strait publication exhibition, copyright trade and project docking.

After the outbreak of Xinguan epidemic in February 2020, the Organizing Committee Office strengthened communication with the State Press and Publication Administration and the Publicity Department of the provincial Party committee to promote the overall plan adjustment and preparation. According to the needs of the current epidemic prevention and control, combined with Xiamen's reality as an important base for book trade and copyright trading with Taiwan, through the negotiation of the main organizers, and based on the principle of "safety, pragmatism and efficiency", it is finally decided that the 16th cross strait Book Fair will be held in Xiamen from October 14 to 16, 2020. We will set up the 25th cross strait book fair and Publishing Forum for mainland publishers and publishers Industrial cooperation, business opportunities, hand in hand to carry forward Chinese culture, and seek the development and prosperity of Chinese publishing.

The total area is 18300 square meters. Among them, the venue area of Xiamen Xianglu international hotel is 3000 square meters, the sub venue of waitu Xiamen book city is 13000 square meters, the sub venue of Xinhua Bookstore is 1500 square meters, and the sub venue of waitu Gulangyu bookstore is 800 square meters.

2. Xiamen waitu Group Co., Ltd., the organizer of the main venue, together with national booksellers, University Libraries and public libraries at or above the municipal level, will carry out centralized sample collection. It is estimated that 20 million samples will be collected during the chart fair.
