2、 Exhibition introduction
1. Activity overview: Economic and trade exchanges between China and Kenya have a long history. As early as the 15th century, "barter trade" opened the door of economic and trade cooperation between China and Kenya. 600 years later, China has become the second largest economy in the world, and Kenya has become the "locomotive of economic development in East Africa". With the enhancement of their respective national strength, the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has also maintained a strong momentum of development, with fruitful results. Since 2015, China has continued to be a big trading partner of Kenya. China has sufficient funds and mature technology and equipment, and the strength of "going out" is growing; Kenya has significant location advantages, strong market demand, and more determined to seek development. There is an urgent need for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of power, railway, aviation, energy and new energy, with huge potential for cooperation. With the full implementation of the strategy, China and Kenya have a rare opportunity for cooperation, which not only involves large-scale enterprises, energy construction, infrastructure projects, but also provides opportunities for the cooperation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises. In order to further consolidate the comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and Kenya, have more extensive and interdependent economic and trade relations, and create more opportunities and space for investment and economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, on the basis of the previous successful holding, the 2017 (third) Kenya "China Trade Week" will be held in Kenya international from June 29 to July 1, 2017 in Nairobi The conference center was held ceremoniously.

China International Chamber of Commerce and the Middle East International Exhibition Group (MIE) actively implement the "go global" strategy, integrate domestic and foreign resources, and hold China Trade Week, a comprehensive trade exhibition with the theme of "high quality Chinese goods" along the line. As the benchmark of this series of touring exhibitions, Kenya station has achieved great success since it was first held in 2015.
The fourth Kenya China Trade Week opened on June 15, 2018 at the Kenyatta International Exhibition Center in Nairobi. Chinese ambassador to Kenya Liu Xianfa attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Representatives from China Council for the promotion of international trade, China International Chamber of Commerce, Kenya Investment Promotion Bureau, Kenya Federation of industry and commerce, East African community chamber of Commerce, Kenya Federation of private entrepreneurs and so on attended the opening ceremony.
More than 400 enterprises from different regions in China have intensively displayed China's high-quality products, covering construction materials, construction machinery, auto parts, plastic, printing and packaging, light industrial consumer goods, etc. It is worth mentioning that the host unit timely grasps the market trends and, in response to the market demand of Kenya, has added a special lighting theme exhibition area in the second exhibition, which has been affirmed and praised by Chinese and Kenyan enterprises all the time!
The exhibition attracted more than 21000 visitors from Kenya and surrounding areas in three days. More than 80% of customers get orders on the spot, and the amount of intended transaction is more than 30 million US dollars. "China Trade Week is an exhibition with a large scale and a large audience in Kenya for 10 years," Mr. Pius Rotich, head of investment promotion and enterprise development service of Kenya Investment Promotion Bureau, said in an interview with Xinhua news agency
