It is the largest building materials exhibition and construction equipment exhibition in Algeria. It is also one of the most influential building materials exhibitions in North Africa.
BATIMATEC exhibition is one of the best ways for building materials enterprises from all countries to enter the market of Algeria. Algeria is located in northwest Africa. Algeria's imports from China account for 16.4% of Afghanistan's total imports, making it the largest source of Afghanistan's deficit. The import and export volume of goods between China and Arab countries reached 6.79 billion US dollars. Among them, Algeria's imports from China reached 6.33 billion US dollars, up 6.1%, accounting for 16.4% of Algeria's total imports, up 2.6 percentage points. From January to September, Algeria's trade deficit with China reached US $5.87 billion, an increase of 34.0%. The main commodities imported by Algeria from China are mechanical and electrical products, mechanical equipment, transportation equipment, steel and rubber products; the total imports of the above five categories of commodities from January to September 2015 amounted to 4.54 billion US dollars, accounting for 71.8% of Algeria's total imports from China.
