In order to promote China's packaging industry to enter the potential Latin American market and Mercosur, we will continue to organize domestic packaging enterprises to participate in the international food packaging exhibition held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in September 2019. The exhibition related matters are hereby notified as follows:

1、 Brief introduction and market situation
The Argentina Buenos Aires International Food Packaging Exhibition (envy) is held every two years by the Argentine Packaging Association. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Argentina branch is the main sponsor of the exhibition, and the Latin American Federation of packaging associations and the World Packaging Organization co sponsor. In 2017, Argentina international packaging exhibition has a net exhibition area of nearly 15000 square meters and nearly 700 exhibitors. The 4-day exhibition received 29738 professional visitors and buyers from Germany, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and other countries and regions. According to the organizer's statistics, 33% of visitors are interested in packaging materials, 27% are interested in machinery and parts, 23% are interested in related raw materials, and the rest 17% are interested in related services. In addition, the exhibition also provides solutions to the problems of environmental protection, food preservation, labor cost reduction and technical reform caused by the modern packaging system. During the exhibition, more than 30 professional seminars were held.
Argentina is a major Latin American economy, with GDP ranking third in Latin America. According to statistics of the Argentine Bureau of statistics, in 2017, the import and export volume of bilateral goods between Argentina and China reached 13.78 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.8%. China continues to maintain the position of Argentina's second largest trading partner.
Due to the relatively slow development, Argentina's manufacturing industry is still unable to meet the needs of the domestic market, and most of the packaging products need to be imported from Brazil. Therefore, to expand the source country of packaging products is a problem Argentina needs to face, and also provides business opportunities for Chinese packaging export enterprises.
