In Hong Kong, about 152 vehicles and 1400 tons of vegetables are transported to Hong Kong every day. In 2016, 50806 vehicles and 474600 tons of vegetables are supplied to Hong Kong, and 2.219 million tons of fresh products, with a total value of US $5.4 billion, accounting for about 50% of the Hong Kong market.

In Macao, the daily vegetable demand is about 160 tons, most of which come from Guangdong, Ningxia, Hunan and Shandong.  

The 2018 direct supply of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao high quality agricultural products exhibition is a special exhibition activity specially set up for the mainland high quality agricultural products suppliers. The purpose is to improve the consumption quality of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao agricultural products, ensure the safety of agricultural products, and enable better and higher quality agricultural products and multi-channel supply of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao markets.
