The fair was founded in 1989 by Ma ya, President of beauty and cosmetics chamber of Commerce of all China Federation of industry and commerce. It is held five times a year, in March and September in the exhibition hall of Guangzhou China Import and Export Fair, in May in Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center, and in February and July in the center of Beijing National Conference. It is one of the largest professional beauty and cosmetics exhibitions in China.
In 2017, the commander of China (Guangzhou) International Beauty Expo went to the north to join hands with China International weight loss conference.
