Southwest Seed Industry Expo is known as the "wind vane of China's seed industry development". It is held in Kunming regularly every year, attracting tens of thousands of professional visitors to visit. The exhibition is famous for its "large scale, complete variety, good effect and prosperous popularity". Its influence covers the southwest, the whole country and Southeast Asia. It is an annual grand gathering of domestic and foreign seed enterprises, international traders, southwest distributors, large growers, government authorities, industry associations and other relevant people.
The 11th southwest Seed Industry Expo 2019 continued to be held in Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center from July 21 to 22, 2019. It was the first time to hold the demonstration exhibition of Southwest improved seed together with Yunnan agricultural technology promotion terminal. New international seed industry exhibition area and South Asia and Southeast Asia international purchasers exchange meeting will be set up. On the basis of successful holding of previous exhibitions, the organizing committee will increase investment promotion efforts, make full use of Kunming's location advantages, and continue to do a good job in Southeast Asia professional purchasers' organization work in combination with Southeast Asia offices, consulates, Chinese associations and associations in China, aiming to create a nationwide and docking Seed industry events in South and Southeast Asia. The 10th southwest seed industry exposition and improved seed exhibition in 2018 was held in Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center and Kunming agricultural science and technology achievement transformation center (Yiliang) from August 27 to 28. As the only seed industry event facing the international market of South Asia and Southeast Asia countries in China, the exhibition area is nearly 50000 square meters. During the exhibition, 58307 people visited, including Malaysia, Thailand 136 international purchasers from the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Myanmar, Laos, India, Iraq and other countries attended the conference.
