At 17:00 on March 30, 2019, a forest fire broke out in Muli County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In the afternoon of March 31, 2016, 689 people from Liangshan Prefecture Branch of Sichuan Forest Fire Brigade and local fire fighters launched fire fighting in the original forest with an altitude of more than 4000 meters. In the fire fighting operation, affected by the sudden change of wind and wind direction, the forest fire broke out suddenly, forming a huge fire ball in an instant. The fire fighters on the site were in an emergency to avoid danger, but still caused the sacrifice of 27 forest fire fighters and 3 local cadres and masses. It is difficult to control fire sources, the situation of forest fire prevention is severe, the extreme importance of national forest fire prevention work and the severe challenges faced, and the sense of responsibility and urgency to do forest fire prevention work well should be enhanced.
