According to the No. 1 central document Opinions on comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, the goal of comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and building a powerful agricultural country was anchored, and the action of improving the yield of grain and oil crops in a large area was carried out. Stabilize the planting area of grain, focus on improving yield and quality, and ensure stable and high yield of grain. Further expand the implementation scale of the Grain Yield Improvement Project, increase the integration and promotion of high-yield and high-efficiency models, promote water fertilizer integration, and promote large-scale yield increase. Intensify efforts to implement a new round of tasks to increase grain production capacity by billions of kilograms. We will take multiple measures to consolidate the achievements of soybean expansion, tap into the potential of rapeseed and peanut expansion, and support the development of woody oil crops such as oil tea. Promote stable production and quality improvement of cotton, sugar, natural rubber, and other crops.

The 2025 Han River Basin (Xiangyang) International Agricultural Machinery Expo, hosted by the Xiangyang Agricultural Professional Cooperative Union and organized by the Xiangyang Municipal People's Government and Beijing Hengyue Exhibition Co., Ltd., will be held from September 5th to 6th, 2025 at the Han River Basin International Expo Center. The exhibition is expected to cover an area of 30000 square meters with 1200 standard booths, attracting 1000 domestic and international manufacturers to participate.

Overview of Xiangyang Agricultural Market

Xiangyang is located in the middle reaches of the Han River in northwest Hubei Province, belonging to the subtropical monsoon climate zone. The natural conditions of distinct four seasons and simultaneous rain and heat provide a superior foundation for agricultural development. Agriculture is centered around grain production, with a total grain output of 9.48 billion catties by 2022. The three main grains of wheat, rice, and corn will be fully mechanized throughout the entire process. In recent years, based on resource endowment, the local area has focused on developing characteristic fruit industry, forming a citrus industry belt with Yicheng and Nanzhang as the core. The planting scale has exceeded 300000 mu, and national geographical indication products such as "Flowing Watermelon" and "Xiangyang High Aroma Tea" have been cultivated.

Relying on the advantages of temperature and light resources in the Han River Basin, Xiangyang in northwest Hubei Province focuses on developing four major economic crops: citrus, high aroma tea, organic vegetables, and traditional Chinese medicine. The citrus planting area exceeds 450000 acres, with an annual output of over 600000 tons; The tea plantation covers an area of 120000 acres. Promote standardized planting through the "enterprise+cooperative+farmer" model, establish more than 30 green demonstration bases, and extend the fruit and tea deep processing industry chain.
