In recent years, green and low-carbon development has become a common pursuit of the international community. Developing new energy vehicles is a necessary path for China to move from a major automobile country to a strong automobile nation, and is a strategic measure to address climate change and promote green development. As a transportation energy integration infrastructure, charging and swapping infrastructure is an important guarantee for the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry. Building a safe, reliable, efficient, economical, green and low-carbon high-quality charging and swapping industry pattern has become the key to solving the "energy replenishment anxiety" of new energy vehicles and fully supporting the popularization and application of new energy vehicles.
Hubei Province, as a transportation hub connecting nine provinces, has always been a major energy consuming and energy importing province, with unique industrial chain advantages. Regarding the solicitation of opinions on the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry in Hubei Province (2024-2027) (Draft for Soliciting Opinions)", it is pointed out that efforts will be made to preliminarily form the layout of Hubei's hydrogen energy industry with Wuhan as the core by 2027. The Hubei Provincial Government has issued the Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a High Quality Charging Infrastructure System in Hubei Province, proposing to achieve "ten full coverage" of charging infrastructure in the province by 2025.
In order to promote cooperation and win-win situations in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, the "2025 Third Wuhan International New Energy Charging and Swapping Conference and Exhibition" and the "2025 Wuhan International Energy Storage and Hydrogen Industry Expo" will be held from October 15-18, 2025 at the Wuhan International Expo Center. The exhibition will showcase new energy storage, hydrogen energy and fuel cells, charging and swapping industries and other related supporting products and solutions. At the same time, multiple scientific academicians, experts and scholars, and industry experts will be invited to hold multiple industry forums, focusing on new energy storage, hydrogen energy, and charging and swapping technologies, to share experiences and predict the future. Further improve the guarantee capability of charging services, while promoting the accelerated transformation of the new energy storage and charging/swapping industry towards high-quality and intelligent upgrading.
