Exhibition Introduction

Current situation of Xinjiang petrochemical industry

Oil and gas reserves in Xinjiang: Xinjiang has great potential for oil and gas resources, and is expected to build a billion ton oil and gas production base by 2030. The petroleum geological resources in Xinjiang are 22.8 billion tons, and the natural gas geological resources in Xinjiang are 17.5 trillion cubic meters. Xinjiang is rich in unconventional oil and gas resources. The geological resources of coalbed methane in the entire region are 9 trillion cubic meters, and the geological resources of oil shale are 6.1 billion tons.

Xinjiang's oil and gas production: In 2023, the crude oil production was 32.701 million tons, ranking second in the country. Scale of chemical industry in Xinjiang: In 2023, the industrial added value of the petroleum industry will be 165.73 billion yuan. The industrial added value of the chemical industry is 58.493 billion yuan. PVC production capacity is 4.52 million tons, calcium carbide production capacity is 8.25 million tons, BDO production capacity is 1.152 million tons, potassium sulfate production capacity is 1.5 million tons, and high-end white oil production capacity is 200000 tons, all ranking first in the country. Xinjiang has become an important domestic oil and gas exploration and development base, oil and gas refining and processing base, nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer production base, and world-class production base for cyclic oil-based lubricants.

Coal resources in Xinjiang: In the first half of 2024, the production of industrial raw coal above designated size in Xinjiang reached 240 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.4%.
