Exhibition Introduction

The theme of this year's 2025 World Robot Conference is "Open Innovation for a Shared Future", with three major sections: forums, exhibitions, and competitions. It focuses on the cutting-edge trends of robot technology and industry, exchanges academic views, showcases the diverse scenarios of robot innovation applications empowering thousands of industries, and carries out high-level brain computer interface and human-machine collaboration competitions, striving to become a robotics industry event covering government, industry, academia, research, finance, service, and application.

Robots are the result of the deep integration of new generation information technology and high-end manufacturing, profoundly changing people's production and life, and effectively promoting social development and progress. This conference forum highlights open collaboration, academic leadership, and industrial development, consisting of 6 main forums, nearly 30 thematic forums, and supporting activities. More than 320 representatives of international organizations, academicians, renowned experts and entrepreneurs from home and abroad were invited to attend the conference, focusing on open cooperation, technological trends, industrial applications, and ecological construction of robots, and conducting keynote speeches and summit dialogues on robot+application scenarios and hot topics.

In order to enhance the internationalization, specialization, and marketization level of the exhibition, this year's conference and expo has for the first time created 10 exhibition areas for "Robot+" manufacturing, agriculture, commercial logistics, medical and health, commercial community services, safety emergency, and extreme environment applications, as well as one key component exhibition area, presenting new technologies, products, solutions, and applications in the robotics industry from multiple dimensions and perspectives. The total exhibition area reached 45000 square meters, an increase of 5000 square meters from last year, attracting 160 domestic and foreign robot companies to exhibit nearly 600 exhibits. 60 globally launched new products will be released at the expo site, the largest number in history. This year's expo focuses on the collaboration between the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and sets up a key component exhibition area. More than 30 enterprises and research institutions will be showcased in the exhibition area, fully demonstrating the achievements of the robot industry in strengthening and supplementing the chain, as well as the innovation strength of key core technologies.

At the same time, the 2024 World Robot Championship (Beijing) will be held at the same time as this conference, with four major events: the Inclusive Robot Challenge, BCI Brain Controlled Robot Competition, Robot Application Competition, and Youth Robot Design Competition. The competition includes 27 major events, 68 sub events, and 116 competition groups. On the basis of continuing the high-quality competition level, each event has been innovated. The competition not only stimulates young people's interest in robots, innovative and creative thinking, and interdisciplinary knowledge integration ability, but also cultivates their patriotism and sense of responsibility, adding strong momentum to the high-quality development of the robotics industry, and is widely praised as the "Olympics" of the robotics industry. This competition will have over 4000 elite players from around the world competing every day, which is 2.5 times the number of players from last year. At the same time as the competition, the 2024 World Robot Conference Brain Controlled Robot Challenge will be held, setting records for this year's brain controlled typing and drone competitions.

As a platform for promoting global robotics industry and technology exchange and cooperation, the conference has been a gathering place for achievements in the robotics industry over the years. During this conference, the "Report on the Development of China's Robot Technology and Industry (2024)", the "Top Ten Frontier Technologies of Robotics (2024-2025)", and the collection of papers from the 2024 World Robot Conference will be released, showcasing the latest achievements in global robot technology and industry. In addition, the "Investment and Innovation Star" of the 2024 World Robot Conference, the top ten technological innovation achievements of the 2024 World Robot Competition, and relevant policies for the development of the robot industry will also be released during the conference.

On the afternoon of August 21, 2024, the highly anticipated 2024 World Robot Conference grandly opened at the Beijing Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Xin Guobin, member of the Party Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Xia Linmao, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, Shu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, full-time Vice Chairman, and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, and Joseph Vieira, President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Jin Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor.

The World Robot Conference has been successfully held for eight sessions since 2015. It is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Association for Science and Technology, and organized by the China Electronics Society, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee. It is the largest, highest standard, and most internationally diverse industry event in the field of robotics in China.

As the permanent venue of the World Robot Conference, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone has been seizing a new window of rapid development in the robotics industry in recent years, accelerating the high-quality development of the robotics industry, and serving the construction of a robotics industry cluster in Beijing. At present, Beijing Yizhuang Robot Industry has gathered nearly a hundred robot ecological enterprises, accounting for 50% of the same industry in Beijing in terms of output value. The robot competition consists of four major events: the Inclusive Robot Challenge, BCI Brain Controlled Robot Competition, Robot Application Competition, and Youth Robot Design Competition. About a thousand participants compete on site.
