Since its establishment in 1989, the China International Machine Tool Exhibition (CIMT) has been held once a year and has successfully held 18 sessions so far. With the continuous improvement of the international status and influence of CIMT exhibition, it has become an important place for international advanced manufacturing technology exchange and trade, a display platform for the latest achievements of modern equipment manufacturing technology, and a barometer and indicator of China's mechanical manufacturing technology progress and machine tool industry development. The 18th China International Machine Tool Exhibition (CIMT2023) was successfully held from April 10-15, 2023 at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) in Beijing. The theme of this exhibition is "Integrating Innovation and Digital Intelligence for the Future". CIMT2023 utilizes all 8 exhibition halls of the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) and 4 temporary exhibition halls located on the east side of the exhibition halls, with a total exhibition area of 140000 square meters. A total of 1582 manufacturers from 28 countries and regions participated in this exhibition (including 869 domestic and 713 overseas), and the exhibitors included all well-known domestic and foreign enterprises in the industry. Among them, machine tool associations and trade promotion organizations from 13 countries and regions, including Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Japan, the Czech Republic, India, France, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, China, organized delegations to participate in the exhibition; More than 300 members from 10 branches under the association, including the Tools Branch, Machine Tool Accessories Branch, Special Processing Machine Tool Branch, CNC System Branch, Rolling Function Parts Branch, Spindle Branch, Abrasive Tools Branch, Superhard Materials Branch, Digital Display Device Branch, and Machine Tool Electrical Branch, participated in the exhibition. During the exhibition, a total of 59 units from domestic and foreign machine tool associations, enterprises, universities, and research institutes held 128 technical exchange lectures, with 5591 attendees. This exhibition attracted professional visitors from 69 countries and regions around the world, with a total of 336504 visitors, an increase of 28.61% compared to CIMT2021 and 5.36% compared to CIMT2019; The total number of people is 242246, an increase of 21.11% compared to CIMT2021 and an increase of 6.89% compared to CIMT2019; The number of viewers was 154957, an increase of 26.98% compared to CIMT2021 and an increase of 11.42% compared to CIMT2019. The three major indicators of total attendance, total number of people, and audience size have all reached historical highs.

CIMT2023 has received great attention from the machine tool industry and upstream and downstream manufacturers in the industry chain, with unprecedented participation and praise, playing a good role in promoting the recovery of the Chinese economy and the business activity of the manufacturing industry.
