The International Licensing and Derivatives (Shenzhen) Exhibition evolved from the anime IP licensing exhibition area of Guangzhou Toy Fair. The exhibition was first held in 1989 and is the oldest toy exhibition in China. Its scale has been expanding year by year. In 2010, the organizer began to hold the Guangzhou Children's Car Exhibition at the same time. In recent years, the number of brand exhibitors has been increasing year by year. Starting from 2020, three exhibitions will officially relocate to Shenzhen and be renamed as the International Toy and Trendy (Shenzhen) Exhibition, the International Baby Carriage and Maternal and Child Products (Shenzhen) Exhibition, and the International Licensing and Derivatives (Shenzhen) Exhibition (referred to as Shenzhen Toy Exhibition, Shenzhen Children's Auto Show, and Shenzhen International Licensing Exhibition), covering various authorized IPs, full categories of toys, and baby products.

Along with the concurrent exhibitions Shenzhen Toy Fair and Shenzhen Baby&Children's Fair, the 6th Shenzhen International Licensing Exhibition will make a strong comeback at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center from April 7 to 9, 2025, showcasing its IP image, seeking licensing opportunities, collaborating with other industries across borders, exchanging industry information, and further promoting the development of China's licensing market.
