Shanxi is a major coal province in China, serving as an important energy and power base, carrying the heavy responsibility of the national resource-based economic transformation pilot zone and the comprehensive reform pilot of the energy revolution. Based on its energy endowment, Shanxi is promoting the integrated development of the "five integrations" of energy, including coal and coal-fired power integration, coal-fired power and new energy integration, coal and coal chemical integration, coal industry and digital technology integration, and coal industry and carbon reduction technology integration. Under the current situation, accelerating the clean and efficient utilization of coal is an inevitable choice and strong cornerstone to support energy transformation, ensure national energy security, and achieve the "dual carbon" goals. The energy resource endowment characteristics of rich coal, poor oil, and limited gas in our country determine that the main energy position of coal will not undergo fundamental changes in the short term.
