The 2024 government work report first proposed the development of new types of energy storage. New energy storage is increasingly becoming a key technology for building new energy systems and new power systems in China. New energy storage is one of the important supporting technologies for achieving the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.

Recently, Shaanxi Province has successively issued the Implementation Plan for the Development of New Energy Storage in Shaanxi Province (2024-2025) and the Implementation Plan for the Participation of New Energy Storage in Electricity Market Trading in Shaanxi Province. Shaanxi is accelerating the formation of an integrated industrial system of "new energy+energy storage" and "source network load storage".

In order to further promote the high-quality development of the new energy storage industry, establish a win-win mechanism for industry energy storage technology, industry chain, and supply chain cooperation, and support the dual carbon strategy, the Shaanxi Energy Conservation Association, in conjunction with relevant units, will hold the "Xi'an Silk Road Energy Storage Technology and Battery Technology Exhibition" in Xi'an from August 22 to 24, 2024. It will be held concurrently with the Xi'an Silk Road Carbon Neutrality Technology and Achievements Exhibition, focusing on the transformation and technological development of the energy storage industry, national policy interpretation, industrial planning and investment paths, energy storage business model application and energy integration, and other content to deepen exchanges and cooperation, promoting the high-quality development of the energy storage industry.
