Exhibition Introduction

The 2024 World Robotics Conference, with the theme of "Open Innovation and Shared Future", has three major sections: forums, exhibitions, and competitions. It focuses on cutting-edge trends in robotics technology and industry, exchanges academic views, showcases the diverse scenarios of robot innovation applications empowering thousands of industries, conducts high-level brain computer interface and human-machine cooperation competitions, and strives to become a grand event in the robotics industry that covers politics, industry, education, research, finance, service, and application.

Robots are the result of the deep integration of new generation information technology and high-end manufacturing, profoundly changing people's production and life, and effectively promoting social development and progress. This conference forum highlights openness and co construction, academic leadership, and industrial development, consisting of 6 main forums, nearly 30 special forums, and supporting activities. More than 320 representatives from international organizations, academicians, well-known domestic and foreign experts, and entrepreneurs were invited to attend the conference, focusing on robot open cooperation, technological trends, industrial applications, and ecological construction, and conducting keynote speeches and peak dialogues on robot+application scenarios and hot topics.

In order to enhance the internationalization, specialization, and marketization level of the exhibition, this year's conference and exhibition hall has for the first time created 10 application scenarios exhibition areas and 1 key component exhibition area, including "robot+" manufacturing, agriculture, commercial logistics, medical health, commercial community services, safety emergency and extreme environmental applications, presenting new technologies, products, solutions, and applications in the robotics industry from multiple dimensions and perspectives. The total exhibition area reached 45000 square meters, an increase of 5000 square meters compared to last year, attracting 160 domestic and foreign robot companies to bring nearly 600 exhibits for exhibition. 60 global debut new products will be released at the exhibition site, with the highest number in history. This year's expo focuses on the collaboration between the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and sets up a key component exhibition area. More than 30 enterprises and scientific research institutions will make appearances in the exhibition area, comprehensively showcasing the achievements of strengthening and supplementing the robot industry's supply chain and the innovation strength of key core technologies.

At the same time, the 2023 World Robot Competition (Beijing) will be held at the same time as this conference, with four major competitions: the Integrated Robot Challenge, BCI Brain Controlled Robot Competition, Robot Application Competition, and Youth Robot Design Competition, including 27 major events, 68 minor events, and 116 competition groups. On the basis of continuing the high-quality competition level, each competition has been innovated. The competition not only stimulates the interest, innovative and creative thinking, and interdisciplinary knowledge integration ability of young people in robotics, but also cultivates their patriotism and sense of responsibility, adding strong momentum to the high-quality development of the robotics industry, and is widely praised as the "Olympics" of the robotics industry. This competition will have over 4000 elite racers from around the world competing together every day, with 2.5 times the number of participants compared to last year. At the same time as the competition, the 2023 World Robot Conference Brain Controlled Robot Challenge will be held, setting a record for this year's Brain Controlled Typing and Brain Controlled Drone competitions.

As a platform for promoting global exchange and cooperation in the robotics industry and technology, the conference has been a gathering place for achievements in the robotics industry over the years. During this conference, the latest achievements in global robotics technology and industry will be presented, including the "Report on the Development of China's Robotics Technology and Industry (2023)", the "Top Ten Frontier Robotics Technologies (2023-2024)", and the 2023 World Robotics Conference proceedings. In addition, the "Star of Investment and Innovation" of the 2023 World Robotics Conference, the top ten technological innovation achievements of the 2023 World Robotics Competition, and relevant policies for the development of the robotics industry will also be announced during the conference.

On the afternoon of August 16, 2023, the highly anticipated 2023 World Robot Conference opened grandly at the Beijing Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Yin Li, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee, and Wan Gang, Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony and the launch ceremony. Xin Guobin, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Xia Linmao, a member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, Shu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, Full time Vice Chairman, and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, and Joseph Vieira, Chairman of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Jin Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor.

The World Robotics Conference has been successfully held for seven sessions since 2015. It is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Association for Science and Technology, and hosted by the China Electronics Society, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee. It is the largest, highest specification, and most internationally diverse industry event in the field of robotics in China.

As the permanent venue of the World Robotics Conference, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone has been seizing a new round of rapid development window in the robotics industry in recent years, accelerating the high-quality development of the robotics industry, and serving Beijing in building a robotics industry cluster. At present, the robot industry in Beijing Yizhuang has gathered nearly a hundred robot ecological enterprises, accounting for 50% of the same industry in Beijing. It has achieved independent control in key core components such as reducers and achieved innovative breakthroughs in special and industrial clean robots.

The 2024 World Robot Conference will be held in Beijing in August, and this conference includes forums, expos, robot competitions, and other activities. The forum consists of 3 Catholic forums, over 20 thematic forums, and opening and closing ceremonies. The Expo follows the "3+C" system layout: "3" is the three major exhibition areas of industrial robots, service robots, and special robots, while "C" is the innovation exhibition area, focusing on showcasing logistics robots, drones, robot bodies, key components, cutting-edge achievements and new products in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and related fields. More than 110 enterprises and research institutions participated in the exhibition with over 500 products. The robot competition includes four major events: the Fusion Robot Challenge, BCI Brain Controlled Robot Competition, Robot Application Competition, and Youth Robot Design Competition. About a thousand participants competed on site. The conference invited renowned global enterprises, universities, and research institutions in the field of robotics to showcase new scientific research achievements, application products, and solutions in the field of robotics worldwide, providing an international industry exchange platform for China's robotics industry. The exhibition area of this year will reach 52000 square meters.
