The Beijing University Food Raw Material Joint Procurement Center (hereinafter referred to as Gao Liancai) was established in 2001 under the leadership of the Catering Professional Committee of the Beijing University Logistics Research Association (referred to as the Joint Professional Committee). It was designated by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission's official policy document "Notice on Further Regulating the Procurement of Raw Materials in Beijing University Canteens" (Beijing Education Qin [2013] No. 7), The organization that provides services for the procurement of raw materials for meals in Beijing's university cafeterias is a public welfare service platform that is consciously united by universities, led by industry organizations, and supported by the government. Under the supervision and guidance of the Ministry of Education and the Catering Professional Management Committee of the Logistics Research Association of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the work goal is to "optimize costs, food safety, sunshine procurement, improve energy and efficiency, and jointly create a better life for teachers and students.".

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: "Efforts should be made to promote high-quality development and promote the construction of a new development pattern.". Higher education institutions must conscientiously implement the new development concept of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the development concept centered on teachers and students, and effectively promote the high-quality development of university catering with new ideas, standards, and measures. With the continuous deepening of the socialization reform of university logistics, there are new requirements for catering management methods and objectives, new changes in management scope, and new standards for service quality. University logistics catering management has shifted from experiential management to scientific and information-based management. Efforts have been made in structural adjustment, differentiated services, and information-based construction, creating a new situation for the high-quality development of modern university catering management.

The previous "University Logistics and Catering Joint Procurement Conference" hosted by Gao Liancai has been successfully held 24 times in universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Institute of Technology, China Agricultural University, and other large venues in Beijing, with the strong support of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the joint cooperation and active participation of Beijing universities and suppliers. It has successfully served and ensured the procurement of raw materials for logistics and catering meals in more than 90 universities in Beijing, It has become a grand event for the logistics and catering management departments of higher education schools (colleges) in Beijing to attend and learn about new products and trends in the industry. Joint procurement activities ensure procurement quality, reduce procurement prices, increase procurement transparency, and achieve the satisfaction of the school management service department, teachers and students, and manufacturers. The form of the joint procurement conference has also received attention and recognition from national, provincial and municipal leadership departments at all levels.

In order to enhance the services of the joint procurement platform for universities, achieve a win-win situation between universities and suppliers, ensure food safety, reduce procurement costs, and achieve transparent procurement, the 25th Beijing University Logistics and Catering Joint Tendering and Procurement Conference and the First High Joint Procurement University Logistics and Catering Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) will be held from October 18th to 19th, 2024 at the China International Exhibition Center. The conference, with the theme of "Assisting the High Quality Development of Catering and Creating a Better Campus Life", is planned to be held in a combination of online and offline forms. It will be held in conjunction with national development strategies and industry development trends, and will include the opening ceremony theme forum, parallel forum, and a series of exhibition and investment signing activities.

Content of the conference

（1） Opening ceremony: We plan to invite leaders from relevant departments such as the Ministry of Education, Beijing universities, local governments, and the organizers to deliver speeches.

（2） Main Forum: Inviting leaders related to logistics management from the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Municipal Education Commission; Vice Colonel in charge of logistics, leaders in charge of logistics and catering, and domestic experts in higher education institutions (colleges) in Beijing and surrounding Beijing will present a report on the development of catering and food around the theme of the conference. Focusing on major forward-looking and critical technical issues in the current field of catering logistics in universities, reflecting the latest technological achievements and level in the catering and food industry.
