The China ASEAN Expo is a national and international economic and trade exchange event initiated by Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council, CO sponsored by the competent economic and trade departments of China and ASEAN 10 countries and the ASEAN Secretariat, and hosted by the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is held annually in Nanning, Guangxi. With the purpose of "promoting the construction of China ASEAN Free Trade Area, sharing cooperation and development opportunities", the Expo covers commodity trade, investment cooperation and service trade, and is a new platform for China ASEAN business cooperation.

The last East China Expo closely followed the upgraded construction of China ASEAN Free Trade Area, highlighted international production capacity cooperation, vigorously promoted the implementation of major projects, and significantly improved economic and trade effectiveness. The new expansion Hall of Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center was opened, with a new exhibition area of 30000 square meters and a total exhibition number of 5800. Both the exhibition scale and the number of exhibitors reached a new high. Enterprises in various countries have applied for exhibition area of more than 129500 square meters, 17.73% more than the planned area. The total number of exhibitors actually arranged was 2669, an increase of 21% over the previous one. The actual exhibition area is 110000 square meters, of which the exhibition area of 10 ASEAN countries and countries outside the region is 30000 square meters, an increase of 28.6% over the previous one; 1590 booths are used, an increase of 22.7% over the previous one, accounting for 27.4% of the total number of booths. Seven ASEAN countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. 65 enterprises from 18 countries participated in the exhibition.
