1、 Exhibition background

In order to comprehensively implement the strategy of building a strong transportation country, strengthen the layout of transportation infrastructure in the western region, promote the construction of new land sea channels in the western region, create a network of east-west mutual aid and opening-up channels, promote regional coordinated development, deepen the western development strategy, improve infrastructure accessibility, smoothness and equalization, promote green and intensive development, fully realize the establishment of an international comprehensive transportation hub in the Chengdu Chongqing economic circle, accelerate the innovation of highway construction in high-altitude mountainous areas, promote the green development of park city transportation, enhance the resilience of the transportation disaster prevention and reduction system, develop vehicle road coordination technology, and promote the integration of transportation, tourism, and culture. This will bring new opportunities for the planning and construction of highways, bridges, tunnels, and other transportation in Chengdu and the western region.

2、 Exhibition Introduction

The 2024 Western (Chengdu) International Bridge and Tunnel Technology Exhibition will be grandly held from April 10 to 12, 2024 at the Western China (Chengdu) International Expo City. This exhibition is expected to have over 700 exhibitors, an exhibition area of 45000 square meters, and an audience of over 30000. During the exhibition, several technical exchange forums will be held around: bridge and tunnel planning and design, bridge and tunnel materials and structures, tunnels and underground spaces, bridge and tunnel construction and maintenance, bridge and tunnel inspection and monitoring, road construction and maintenance, traffic safety, traffic engineering technology, and other aspects. The conference will invite top experts from research institutes such as the Ministry of Transport, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Highways, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chongqing Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Chang'an University, and well-known leading enterprises in the industry to participate in this thousand person conference, committed to creating an influential industry technology exchange platform for western bridge and tunnel and transportation industry.
