1、 Exhibition background

At present, cold storage is entering a golden period of development, with high market demand and overall stable and positive development. Accelerating the construction of cold chain logistics infrastructure is of great significance for achieving rural revitalization and promoting the construction of domestic circular markets. In recent years, the country has successively introduced multiple policies to vigorously support the construction of cold storage infrastructure.

At the end of 2021, the State Council issued the "14th Five Year Plan" for the development of cold chain logistics, laying out the construction of about 100 national backbone cold chain logistics bases, and basically building a three-level cold chain logistics node facility network with national backbone cold chain logistics bases as the core, production and sales cold chain distribution centers, and two end cold chain logistics facilities as support, filling the gaps in cold chain and improving the efficiency of cold chain circulation.

In June 2022, the General Office of the Ministry of Finance and the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce issued a notice on supporting and accelerating the construction of the agricultural product supply chain system to further promote the development of cold chain logistics, requiring "further focus on the development of cold chain logistics for agricultural products, improve the efficiency and modernization level of agricultural product circulation" to promote agricultural transformation and increase farmers' income, and meet the personalized and high-quality consumption needs of urban and rural residents.

In June 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance jointly issued a notice on the construction of refrigeration and preservation facilities in agricultural product production areas in 2022, jointly focusing on the construction of refrigeration and preservation facilities in production areas, deepening the promotion of refrigeration and preservation in production areas throughout the county, and promoting the extension of cold chain logistics service networks to rural areas, further improving the national layout of cold storage construction.

In addition to the central government's support policies, local governments have successively introduced policies to support the construction of local cold storage facilities. With the support of various policies, the capacity of cold storage in China has steadily increased at a rate of 10% per year in recent years. As of 2021, the total capacity of cold storage in China has exceeded 50 million tons. However, there are still problems such as uneven distribution and insufficient per capita data in the development of cold storage in China, and there is still significant room for development.

The construction of cold storage continues to encounter "heat". The 2024 Anhui International Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Cold Chain Technology Exhibition aims to provide a high standard, high-quality, and high-tech display, exchange, and procurement platform for the central cold storage and logistics industry.
