At present, mega cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen have successively revised or legislated on the management of household waste, forming a garbage classification system based on the rule of law, promoted by the government, and participated by the whole population, striving to improve the coverage of the garbage classification system. Through supervision and guidance, strengthening full process classification and strict supervision, a preliminary system for the collection, transportation, and treatment of household waste has been established.

With the promotion of garbage classification, it is expected to be developed into an important value-added service for urban sanitation, and garbage classification may become the next rich mine for exploring value in sanitation business. According to industry institutions, the annual market size of domestic waste classification services in China exceeds 61 billion yuan, and it may become even larger in the future. The construction of ecological cities in Guangdong Province places greater emphasis on enhancing the comprehensive services, urban landscape, cultural tourism and other functions of cities, making urban ecological livability have global influence and appeal. In order to promote technological exchange between smart sanitation and the waste sorting industry, and promote the healthy and rapid development of the waste sorting industry.
