Exhibition background

The intensification of human activities and global temperature changes has brought unprecedented pressure and challenges to the health and sustainable development of ecosystems. The dredging industry can play a significant role in addressing ecological crises.

The dredging industry market in China has experienced rapid development, with significant changes in both market capacity and operational areas. In 2022, the scale of China's dredging market reached 67.5 billion yuan, and dredging projects represented by port and waterway infrastructure dredging are the foundation for the development of China's dredging industry. The rapid growth of international trade and port throughput poses higher requirements for China's infrastructure dredging market. The pollution of rivers, lakes, and seas caused by industrial production and human life has become increasingly serious. The number of black and odorous water bodies in cities has increased significantly, and the accumulation of polluted sediment has caused huge damage to water resources. It has now become a major hidden danger to environmental safety. The use of environmentally friendly dredging methods to solve this problem has become an emerging industry.

In order to conscientiously implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, highlight technological empowerment, enhance the level of technological innovation in dredging equipment, increase the promotion and application of new products, technologies, and achievements in the dredging industry, provide product quality information for member units, and build a supply and demand docking platform, the 2024 Dredging Technology and Equipment Expo is held by the Chongqing Municipal Pipeline Dredging Association and the Ship Science and Technology Research Center of the Water Transport Institute, It is scheduled to be held from June 24th to 28th, 2024 at the Chongqing International Expo Center.

In the field of sewage treatment; Industrial waste treatment equipment and chemicals, black and odorous wood treatment, pollution site restoration field: urban brown land treatment, domestic waste treatment, sludge treatment and disposal, tailings pond treatment, watershed water environment treatment field: sponge city construction, comprehensive river management, drinking water source treatment and protection, non-point source treatment and protection, regional ecological environment improvement field; Desalination of seawater and pollution control from ships.
