In 2018, the potato Expo again settled in the northern potato production area, held in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, the birthplace of Hongshan Culture and dry farming, one of the earliest cultural traces of Chinese civilization. The exhibition is divided into five parts: comprehensive exhibition area, machinery exhibition area, food Avenue, Inner Mongolia potato industry exhibition area and Chifeng characteristic exhibition area, totaling 12000 square meters. More than 200 enterprises from 20 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and 11 countries including the Netherlands, the United States, Belgium, Denmark, Germany participated in the exhibition. The number of professional visitors exceeded 4000.

At the same time, the exhibition held five special activities, including "potato industry development and brand promotion forum", "potato nutrition and health and industry development seminar", "national potato green and efficient production technology and staple food product development training course". Focusing on the four themes of "potato food development and industrial development", "specification and innovation of potato industry", "regional public brand debate" and "Inner Mongolia potato brand building and industrial poverty alleviation experience", an on-site interview and live broadcast were conducted, with more than 30000 people paying close attention to the live broadcast.
