Yiwu Import Expo, formerly Yiwu Import Expo, was founded in 2012 as a professional exhibition platform for importing consumer goods. In 2015, in order to further respond to the national "one belt and one road" initiative, we actively promoted the construction of the Yixin Europe and Yichang grand channel, and strive to build the "China Import Commodity City" in Yiwu. The import exhibition was upgraded to the Yiwu China Import fair. It was sponsored by the China International Chamber of Commerce, the China Federation of logistics and purchasing, the China Federation of Commerce, and the Zhejiang Provincial People's government. In, exhibitors and products have been continuously enriched, and the brand effect of the exhibition has become increasingly prominent. It has become one of the preferred exhibition and trade platforms for foreign consumer goods to enter the Chinese market, and has successively won the honors of "China's top ten excellent characteristic exhibitions", "Zhejiang top ten brand expositions", "China's top ten influential exhibitions". In June 2016, China Yiwu Import Commodities Expo successfully passed the certification of the global exhibition industry association (UFI), which is the first import consumer theme exhibition in China.

The 2018 China Yiwu Import Commodities Expo takes the theme of "cultivating the imported commodities' World supermarket 'and building the' buy the world and sell the world 'cornucopia", actively explores overseas source channels, organizes 1624 international standard booths with an exhibition area of 40000 square meters, and sets up 4 exhibition areas, including Asia Pavilion I, Asia Pavilion II, Europe Pavilion and America, University, Africa and Africa & cross-border trade Pavilion, which has attracted five major exhibitors 1032 enterprises and institutions from more than 100 countries and regions of the continent participated in the exhibition, with a total of 118100 visitors and purchasers, respectively from 64 countries such as Yemen, Japan, India, Malaysia, Russia, the United Kingdom, Italy and 28 provinces and autonomous regions such as Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai, and Jiangsu. The exhibition is closely related to the "one belt and one road" Cooperation Initiative. The exhibition focuses on the two or three line daily best seller and source goods, and has joined the Yangtze River Delta's import industry advantage.
