Australian railway exhibition is a professional exhibition supported by first-class industry organizations. The exhibition is held once a year and covers all parts of the railway industry. Since 2003, ausrail has established its position as the most important event of the Australian railway sector. In recent years, with the largest scale of comprehensive conferences and exhibitions in China, it ranks first in the railway sector in the whole southern hemisphere.

Historical background:

In April 2017, Metra issued a (original) RFP, which includes the supply of 75 new railway passenger cars and the option to purchase additional passenger cars.

On July 18, 2018, Chicago sympathetic Railway Corporation (Metra) prepared to reissue the proposal for purchasing new railway vehicles (RFP) and relax the selection range of vehicle models.

The reason is that only CRRC Sifang America responded to the RFP. Therefore, experts suggest that the RFP be reissued to obtain more design options and purchase the most modern, comfortable and valuable trains.

US market overview

Gai international has agreed to sell 2146 freight cars for $200 million, accounting for 30% of its rental fleet in North America. The company sold 1946 freight cars on February 26, realizing a profit of $7 million, while the remaining 200 freight cars are currently in production and will be sold in the second quarter of 2019.

Chicago Metro awarded progress rail a $79 million contract to supply 15 modified EMD sd70mac freight locomotives, up to 27 in the future. American railway industries, Inc. (American Locomotive Industry Group) was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in St. Charles, Missouri.

The Greenbrier companies, Inc. (Greenbrier company, or green rose company) was founded in 1981, formerly known as Gunderson Inc. headquartered in Lake Oswego, Oregon, USA, it is engaged in the design, manufacturing and sales of railway freight cars in North America and Europe.
