Approved by the State Council, China Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "science and Technology Expo") is a large-scale national grand event of international science and technology exchange and cooperation co sponsored by the Ministry of science and technology, the State Intellectual Property Office, China Council for the promotion of International trade and Beijing Municipal People's government, and hosted by Beijing Council for the promotion of international trade.

Founded in 1998, the science and Technology Fair was named "China Beijing high tech industry international week" at that time. It was officially renamed as the science and Technology Fair from the fifth session in 2002. After four periods of initial exploration (1-3 sessions), rapid growth (4-8 sessions), steady development (9-15 sessions) and innovation leading (16 sessions up to now), it has gradually built into a set of comprehensive activities, exhibitions, promotion transactions and forums The "five in one" activity framework of online display and promotion has become the source of China's science and technology industry development ideas, the first show of innovative technology and products, and the first place of authoritative policy information. It has left a heavy mark in the historical process of China's science and technology industry from introduction, self-reliance to going out. Hu Jintao, Li Peng, Zhu Rongji, Wen Jiabao, Wang Qishan and other party and state leaders have visited the exhibition many times. The 23rd science and Technology Fair will be held from September 17 to 20, 2020. The exhibition will be held in China International Exhibition Center (jing'anzhuang Hall). The exhibition will last for 4 days, with an exhibition area of 38000 square meters. It is estimated that there will be 800 to 1000 Chinese and foreign science and technology enterprises participating in the fair. Promotion and trading, forum and conference will be held at the same time.
