Yiwu Import fair, formerly known as Yiwu Import fair, was founded in 2012 as a professional exhibition platform for imported consumer goods. In 2015, in order to further respond to the national "the Belt and Road Initiative" initiative, actively promote the construction of Yixin Europe and yiyongzhou channel, and strive to build Yiwu "China Import Commodity City", the import exhibition was upgraded to China Yiwu import commodity exposition, hosted by China International Chamber of Commerce and China Federation of Commerce, supported by the people's Government of Zhejiang province With continuous enrichment, the brand effect of the exhibition has become increasingly prominent. It has become one of the preferred exhibition and trade platforms for foreign consumer goods to enter China's market. It has won the honors of "China's top ten outstanding characteristic exhibitions", "Zhejiang's top ten brand expositions" and "China's top ten influential exhibitions". In June 2016, China Yiwu Import Commodities Fair successfully passed the certification of the global exhibition industry association (UFI), which is the first import consumer theme exhibition in China to pass the certification.
