The national agricultural exhibition hall and the China Agricultural Museum are two brands and one institution, which are directly under the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas of the people's Republic of China. The national agricultural exhibition hall is one of the top ten buildings in the capital approved by the State Council in 1958. Its location, scale, layout and style were examined and approved by Premier Zhou Enlai himself. It was officially completed and opened to the public in September 1959. China Agricultural Museum is a national level professional museum approved by the State Council in July 1983 and built on the basis of the national agricultural exhibition hall. It was officially opened to the public in September 1986 and was rated as the national first level museum in 2012.

The National Agricultural Exhibition Hall (China Agricultural Museum) is responsible for publicizing the "three rural" policies of the party and the state, displaying the achievements of modern agricultural development, promoting the circulation and promotion of agricultural products, popularizing agricultural knowledge, protecting, inheriting and promoting Chinese agricultural civilization. The National Agricultural Exhibition Hall (China Agricultural Museum) covers an area of 43 hectares, with an indoor exhibition area of 21000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of 40000 square meters. The exhibition facilities such as conference rooms and hotels are complete, which can meet the needs of various types of exhibitions and public collective activities. The indoor exhibition area of China Agricultural Museum is 6600 square meters, including six basic indoor exhibitions such as the exhibition of Chinese agricultural civilization; the outdoor exhibition garden consists of ancient traditional agricultural garden and modern scientific agricultural garden, covering an area of about 10000 square meters. It has successively won the honorary titles of national patriotism education base, National Youth Science and technology education base, Beijing popular science education base, international science and peace education base, etc.
