Gambit airport is an international airport located in the city of Hyderabad, India. It is the first airport in the world that relies entirely on solar energy. On August 18, 2015, it became the first dedicated airport with all solar power in the world to be built into a solar power plant. In October 1990, the Kerala State Office of the Ministry of Commerce, supported by local industries, adopted a resolution to expand the naval airport to accommodate large aircraft and facilitate direct flights to the Middle East. The resolution was rejected by the Navy for security reasons. And because the Indian government's airport authority doesn't have enough money to start building new airports. This has led to the emptiness of the idea of raising funds from both public and private sources to build an airport, the first of which was put forward by mr.v.j.kurian.
