Xinjiang International Expo Center is located in the North Youyi Road of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang. It is the window of politics, economy, trade and culture of the autonomous region. It is subordinate to the Department of foreign trade and economic cooperation of the autonomous region and the only professional exhibition hall in Xinjiang.

The center covers an area of 63000 square meters, with a building area of 28000 square meters and a usable area of 18000 square meters. It has 18 exhibition halls, 1100 standard booths and 17000 square meters of outdoor exhibition area.
 
The center has 6 functional departments: office, finance department, Party Work Department, supervision department, fire protection department and property management department; 3 operating companies: exhibition company, advertising company and conference company.

The center implements the business structure of "one main and two wings", that is, exhibition oriented, advertising and conference services as wings, mainly undertaking national, regional and international exhibitions facing central Asia; planning and organizing self-organized exhibitions, bidding exhibitions and joint exhibitions; providing conference tourism, advertising creativity, exhibition design, special decoration engineering and other related business supporting services.

Taking the opportunity of the development of the western region and the construction of the international trade center in the western region, focusing on the geographical advantages of the second "Eurasian Continental Bridge", the center has implemented the strategy of "linking the East with the West and going from the west to the East", opened up port exhibitions, built brand exhibitions, gradually integrated with international exhibitions, and promoted the leapfrog development of exhibition economy in Xinjiang.
