Located on the west side of Chang'an Street in Beijing, the national culture palace was built in September 1959. It is one of the ten famous buildings in Beijing, the capital of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China. Its establishment reflects the national policy of the party and the state, and is a symbol of equality, unity, progress and prosperity of 56 fraternal nationalities in China.

The national culture palace is a cultural institution directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. There are nearly 20 departments involved in cultural undertakings, operation and functional management, such as museum, China National Library, National Painting Academy, China National Yearbook society, exhibition hall, national culture palace theater, hotel, etc. It has the functions of publicizing the party's ethnic policies, holding ethnic exhibitions, collecting and studying ethnic cultural relics and documents, providing ethnic books and periodicals, carrying out ethnic cultural exchanges, undertaking ethnic activities and commercial performances, etc. it is a window for Chinese and foreign people to understand Chinese ethnic culture.

The purpose of the national culture palace is to serve the cause of national culture, the work of the nation, and the unity and progress of all ethnic groups. Over the past 40 years since its establishment, the national culture palace has collected more than 50000 precious cultural relics of ethnic minorities, collected more than 600000 volumes of 24 kinds of written documents of ethnic minorities and Chinese books, held special cultural exhibitions such as achievements in ethnic work, costumes of ethnic minorities, musical instruments, arts and crafts, masks, and a series of exhibitions on traditional culture of ethnic minorities in China. There are nearly 50 brothers in ethnic areas in China The achievements of the traditional culture and economic construction of the di nationality are shown here; national songs and dances, famous Chinese and foreign music, operas and other plays are staged; national audio-visual products are published; and the catering culture of the national style is displayed It has received foreign guests, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas Chinese from nearly 100 countries and regions, and hundreds of thousands of visitors, guests and readers at home and abroad every year.

Since 1998, the state has invested 160 million yuan in the earthquake resistant reinforcement and comprehensive decoration of the national culture palace. Under the national culture palace, there are exhibition hall, exhibition hall, library, hotel, Grand Theater, entertainment city and other institutions and facilities, which integrate cultural exchange, catering, entertainment and office, and are ideal places for economic and cultural exchanges. Among them, the exhibition hall of the national culture palace has five exhibition halls of 3400 square meters and strong exhibition organization, design and construction forces. Mainly engaged in organization, undertaking domestic and foreign economic and cultural exhibitions

Exhibition and sales fair; provide exhibition venues and exhibition equipment leasing to all sectors of the society; undertake the overall design and art production of various exhibitions; organize the press conference of the exhibition; and set up huge billboards to design and produce advertisements for enterprises and their products.

The exhibition hall of the national culture palace mainly collects the cultural relics of ethnic minorities in China, studies and promotes the excellent traditional culture of ethnic minorities, and displays and propagandizes the ethnic policies and work of the party and the state. It fully reflects the great achievements of national work since the founding of the people's Republic of China and the great contributions made by the people of all ethnic groups in the socialist revolution and construction.
